Meet Brainy!
Brainy is the class pet. He is a hamster, and the class loves him! The purpose of having Brainy in class is to teach the students the responsibility of taking care of a pet. Each student will have the chance to take Brainy home for the weekend, where they will feed him and change the bedding in his cage (with the help of you parents of course!) If any parents are completely against this idea, contact me, but I would highly encourage you to let your first grader be a part of this class project. Every Monday the student who housed Brainy for the weekend will be allowed to share any interesting stories that they might have.
Brainy is a very friendly, curious hamster! He loves his classmates!
